League of legends news kench

Riot is releasing the Kench during the League’s 2023 preseason

Since his initial release in 2015, Tahm Kench has been a difficult champion in League of Legends, primarily because of his Devour ability, which has the potential to spare immobile AD carriers from a certain demise. Even after Riot Games updated the champion and moved him to the top lane, the River King has remained a formidable threat in the bottom lane as a support, particularly when combined with Senna. The developers are giving this catfish one more update to comply with the most recent adjustments to the preseason content.

In the final patch of the year, version 12.23, there will be some experimentation with reintroducing Zeri to the meta and making some adjustments to Dr. Mundo for the jungle. In addition to these adjustments, Riot intends to reduce the amount of support power that Tahm Kench possesses as a walking Zhonya Hourglass. In order to accomplish this, the developers are implementing a plethora of new adjustments that could result in Tahm Kench being placed back into the top lane.

Scaling for An Acquired Taste is set at 2% of available AP for every 100 additional health points. The AP ratio of Tongue Lash is going from being 90 percent to being 100 percent right now. The AP ratio for Abyssal Dive will be boosted from 125 percent to 150 percent in the near future. Instead of remaining intact for a constant 2.5 seconds, Devour’s shield will degrade by 200 over time. And finally, the attack power ratio of the damage component of the ultimate will rise from five percent per one hundred attack power to seven percent per one hundred attack power.

All of these adjustments are geared on reducing Kench’s power as a support, given that his Devour shield may restore nearly an entire health bar’s worth of health. But you need not be concerned. If you take even one hit from his Tounge Lash, he will turn into a dangerous opponent in the top lane and be able to finish you off quickly in the early game.

Patch 12.23 is scheduled to be deployed to live servers on December 7 according to the official patch schedule maintained by Riot.
