Coming up soon is the VCT 2022 Game Changers Championship. In the history of Valorant esports, this competition is the first ever to be exclusive to only female competitors. There are a lot of teams who have already guaranteed their participation in the event, notably G2 Gozen and Cloud9 White, which are the top teams in EMEA and NA, respectively.
During the VCT 2022 Game Changers Latin America Regional Final, which will take place on October 22, we will have the opportunity to see two formidable teams, KRÜ Fem and FiRePOWER, compete against one another for a coveted berth in the Game Changers Championship.
One solitary best-of-five match is going to determine the victor between the two lineups in this tournament. The person who comes out on top in this competition will receive one of the two remaining berths in the championship.
WHEN IT COMES TO THE GAME CHANGERS LATAM REGIONAL FINAL, WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?
When discussing the teams, it is safe to say that KRÜ Fem and FiRePOWER both had a rather good season. While KRÜ has retained the same core lineup since January 17th, FiRePOWER’s roster has seen various changes but has still managed to keep the same players in the same positions.
After coming in first position at the LATAM North Finals, FiRePOWER automatically advanced to the Regional Final. The only match that the team didn’t win was their first one against Aternun Venus because they had to forfeit to FiRePOWER. Other than that, the squad enjoyed a perfect run to the championship, winning every match without dropping a single map.
During the Upper Final, they were successful in defeating Skull Cracker Fem with a score of 2-0 in a BO3 scenario. Then, during the Grand Final, they doubled down on their victory by defeating Skull Cracker Fem with a score of 3-0 in a BO5 scenario. During the LATAM Regional Final, it is reasonable to say that we can not expect any less from them than what they have already shown us.
KRÜ Fem, on the other hand, had a more difficult time of it during the LATAM South Finals. They dropped a map during both the Upper and Grand Final matches, but they were still able to keep their composure and confidence in check throughout the whole tournament. They got off to a fantastic start in the Upper Final match against NOORG, but during the second match on Haven, they lost control, which ultimately resulted in them losing the map.
Despite this, they prevailed in the end and earned a spot in the championship match. The first map of the final was won by 9z Team Fem, but that was not enough to deter KRÜ Fem from winning the match. After suffering an early setback by dropping the first map, they went on a killing spree and swiftly wrapped up the Finals with a score of 3:1.
KRÜ Fem’s affiliation with KRÜ Esports, which participated in the Valorous Champions and finished the season as the No. 2 squad in the LATAM area, is interesting. The final list of VCT 2023 teams includes KRÜ Esports, one of the groups that was successful in obtaining a cooperation with Riot Games. Because of this, KRÜ Fem have a lot to live up to and a more incentive to win this Regional Final even though FiRePOWER is undoubtedly a team to not take lightly.
Both teams are in excellent health and deserving of the championship, but because there can only be one victor, we’ll have to wait and see who is more driven to take home the Game Changers trophy. In light of everything said above, the Latin America Regional Final will undoubtedly be a fascinating and enjoyable occasion.
